Beth Mabe Gianopulos

Beth Mabe Gianopulos is an attorney and executive with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and education. Beth also is an associate dean and assistant professor at Wake Forest School of Medicine in North Carolina, and she is an adjunct professor at Wake Forest School of Law. Beth’s legal practice includes a wide range of labor and employment issues that arise in the complex atmosphere of an academic medical center. Beth also provides litigation oversight, advises on enterprise risk-management issues and oversees complex internal investigations.
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Beth has observed an increase in the number of challenging situations in the workplace. The stress of the pandemic has increased anxiety, depression, loneliness, and burnout. Beth was recently certified as a Mental Health First Aid instructor. She aspires to use her training and work experience to provide proactive mental-health training for leaders and managers.
Beth is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, National Association of College and University Attorneys and the Society for HR Management. She has served as vice president and president for the Forsyth County (N.C .) Women Attorneys Association. She is president-elect of the Salem College (N.C.) Alumnae Board. Beth and her husband started a nonprofit and church, Project:Re3. Beth earned a law degree with honors from Wake Forest University School of Law. She graduated magna cum laude from Salem College with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
