Dana Pratt

Dana Pratt owns and operates consulting firm DCP Training & Talent Development, based in Oregon.  After working in retail management, she transferred her knowledge of store culture and operations into work in training and development.  She has more than 20 years of experience in performance improvement, specializing in communications and leadership.  Dana has led learning and development teams in roles at New Seasons Market, the Oregon Department of Transportation, Safeco Insurance and Macy’s-Northwest.  Over her years in training and development, she has witnessed rising needs for leaders to respond to mental-health concerns in the workplace.  In her own work, she has taught conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, compassionate customer care and coaching.

Dana is excited to partner with ma company to provide practical opportunities to engage leaders of all levels of an organization and boost their confidence in approaching interactions that can be unpredictable, concerning or confusing.   After working primarily with individuals on the front lines of customer service, she grasps the importance of easy-to-recall models to help in difficult interpersonal exchanges.  She also keeps in mind factors such as work environment and culture that can support, or detract from, delivering safe and respectful outcomes.

Dana earned a bachelor’s degree, majoring in art history and studio art, at the University of Oregon.  She has been a senior professional certified by the Society for Human Resource Management since 2015 and a certified professional in talent development by the Association of Talent Development since 2012.   Dana holds a certificate in training and development from the University of Washington and a certificate for vocational instructors by the state of Washington.  She lives in Beaverton, Oregon.
